DEM Party participates in Istanbul elections with its own candidates

	ANKARA - DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Dogan announced that they will participate in the elections with their own candidates in Istanbul and their candidates will be determined by February 9.

	People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Spokesperson Ayşegül Dogan held a press conference at the party's headquarters regarding the decisions taken at the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting. Dogan announced that they will participate in the elections with their own candidates in Istanbul and their candidates will be determined by February 9.

	 

	Stating that they decided to participate in the Istanbul elections with their own candidates, Dogan stated that it will be clear who they will nominate in both Istanbul and other cities of Turkey by February 9. Dogan said: "We say that now is DEM time for Istanbul. It is DEM time for Turkey. DEM time means for us, we are talking about a time that emphasizes equality, freedom, justice and peace. That is why we made this decision without any delay, in the Central Executive Board, which took hours. We wanted to share it with you after the discussions."

	Dogan also answered the question about Basak Demirtas' candidacy. Dogan reiterated that they will share the names of their candidates until February 9. Dogan stated that Basak Demirtas is also in the list of candidates.
