Journalist Hakan Yalçın was referred to the court with a demand for arrest 2024-01-02 15:41:35   MELETÎ - Journalist Hakan Yalçın, whose statement to the prosecutor's office was completed, was referred to the court with a demand for arrest.   Mezopotamya Agency (MA) Reporter Hakan Yalçın and 10 others, who were detained in a raid on his house in Wan on December 29, within the scope of an investigation initiated by the Malatya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were brought to the Malatya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in the Çirmik (Yeşilyurt) district after the completion of their procedures at the police station.   Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) Co-chairman Serdar Altan and the families and relatives of the detained people followed the statements-taking process, which took place in the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office section of the Customs and Foreign Trade Regional Directorate building on the Akçadağ road due to the collapse of the Malatya Courthouse in the earthquake. Due to the limited space, press and families were not allowed to enter the building.   In his statement to the prosecutor's office, it was learned that Yalçın was asked about the activities of the association he was a member of when he was a student at Meleti. Yalçın, who was asked questions about whether "ideological training" was given in the association, was referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a demand for arrest after his statement.   Siyajîn Yaman, Rezan Malgir and Bedirhan Akyıldız, who were detained along with Yalçın, were referred to the court with a demand for arrest, and the other 7 people were referred to the court with a demand for judicial control.
