MA Correspondent Arslan arrested 2023-07-25 22:53:03   ANKARA - MA Correspondent Fırat Can Arslan, who was arrested for sharing social media about his imprisoned colleagues, was subjected to police violence on his way out of the courthouse.   The statements of Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporters Fırat Can Arslan, Delal Akyüz and T24 Editor Sibel Yükler, who were detained early in the morning as part of an investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, at the police station, ended.   STATEMENTS WERE NOT RECEIVED AT THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE   After the security procedures, Arslan and Yükler were transferred to Ankara Courthouse, Akyüz to İzmir Courthouse, and Deniz to Amed Courthouse to testify at the prosecutor's office. However, the prosecutor did not take statements from Arslan and Yükler. The prosecutor referred the court to Arslan's arrest and to the release of Yükler on condition of judicial control. Arslan, who was transferred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace, was arrested and Yükler was released.   JUDICIARY DECISION   In the decision of the judge, he stated that Arslan shared the names and registration numbers of the prosecutor and judge, and that it was also stated in this post that the prosecutor and judge handled the case of the journalists. In the decision, the journalists who were released at the first hearing were called "detained". The judgeship also argued that the prosecutor and the judge were targeted in Arslan's post. The judge's office decided to arrest Aslan, claiming that he had a "suspicious escape" against him, who was banned from leaving the country due to another investigation and had judicial control measures such as signing every two weeks.   ASLAN WAS TAKEN TO PRISON   After the decision, Arslan was taken to Sincan Prison. When Arslan was released from the courthouse, violence was used by the police in front of his family and friends.
