The lawsuit filed regarding the death of Necmettin Fendik, who died as a result of the fire opened by the police during the raid on his house on July 16, 2017 in Güngör Mahallesi of Colemêrg's Gever ( Yüksekova) district, has still not been concluded despite the past 7 years. The trial, in which police officer A.F.K. is accused, continues at the Yüksekova 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance. It was learned that police officer A.F.K., who was on trial for "causing death by negligence", was on duty.   FIGHT FOR JUSTICE FOR 7 YEARS   Stating that they have been fighting for justice with their children for 7 years, Fendik's wife, Kudret Fendik Fendik said: "No one has been punished in the last 7 years. We hold a tribunal every three months. Neither the perpetrator, the person who reported it, or anyone who was there has been punished until now. The police say, 'If we hadn't killed him, he would have killed us'. "But there was no such thing, why would my husband kill them? We have been persecuted by the hands of the courts and the police, which have not been concluded for years. They are constantly trying to justify themselves. We do not accept this cruelty inflicted on us. We want those who made us experience these things to be punished. We have been trying to get rid of the situation until now. We told the truth and there was no contradiction in any of our statements, but the statements of the police officers on trial were always contradictory."   'WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON OUR CASE'   Stating that on the 7th death anniversary of his husband, their only demand is to punish the perpetrators, Fendik said: "My children and I will seek our rights until justice will be provided, we will never give up on our complaint or our cause. We will continue to pursue this case until the end, no matter how hard they try to create obstacles. I hope that no mother and her children will live what I and my children have lived. We want the case that has not been concluded for 7 years to be concluded and the criminals to be punished."   MA / Mazlum Engindeniz
