Sancar: The Kobanê case is an element of the 'Collapse Plan'

	ANKARA - HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar described the Kobanê Case as a "manifesto reflecting the political goals of the government" and said, "The Kobanê conspiracy case is an element of the 'Collapse Plan'."

	 

	Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Mithat Sancar held a press conference at the party's headquarters after watching the morning session of the Kobanê Case, whose 26th hearing was held at the Sincan Prison Campus. HDP Law and Human Rights Commission Co-spokespersons Nuray Özdoğan and Serhat Eren also attended the meeting.

	 

	'THIS CASE IS A CASE OF CONSTRUCTION'

	 

	Stating that the Kobanê Case was a "conspiracy case", Sancar said: "The investigation was initiated by citing a statement by HDP VQA in the continuation of the protests against the ISIS siege of Kobanê and the invasion attempt in 2014. That tweet was made in October 2014. This lawsuit, which started with operations, was opened in 2020. In other words, after 6 years have passed, a lawsuit has been filed covering all of our party's VQA members, citing a tweet."

	 

	'DEPRESSION OF ISIS STARTED WITH THE DEFEAT OF KOBANÊ'

	 

	Sancar continued his speech as follows: “The resistance of the peoples of Kobanê against the great threat posed by ISIS at that time was seen as a glorious page by humanity. The decline and collapse of ISIS started with the defeat of Kobanê. The government launched the Kobanê conspiracy case to make us forget all the threats that ISIS created at that time and that are likely to continue to this day, and to cover its own responsibility. The Kobanê plot case primarily aims to obscure these truths and make them forget. It aims to erase the great threat that ISIS posed at that time and the danger for the future from memory. It is aimed to make people forget that the government of the time ignored the demands for solidarity with the people of Kobanê against ISIS; Let me remind you once again that we are dealing with a conspiracy."

	 

	'THE CASE IS THE COLLAPSE PLAN'

	 

	The Kobanê conspiracy case is an element of the collapse plan. It is one of the main aims of the government to completely neutralize and, if possible, liquidate democratic politics. First of all, the right of defense, which is indispensable in terms of judicial law, is usurped. Requests to expand the investigation and prosecution are not considered. Hearing periods are arranged in accordance with the political goals of the government. A mise-en-scene is a fictional case. We are faced with one of the examples that went down in the history of law and politics as a black mark, an example of which we encountered in world history. Like the Dreyfus Case, the Leibzig Case is a fictional case. Even in those cases, the administration and the judiciary of the period at least took care to follow some rules in order to save the image. In the Kobanê conspiracy case, the court committee did not even have such a concern. The Kobanê conspiracy case should be seen as a laboratory for lawlessness and injustice. We've always said this."
