Unemployment increased to 3 million 508 thousand people

	ANKARA - According to TUIK data, the unemployment figure increased by 4 thousand people in March 2023 compared to the previous month and rose to 3 million 508 thousand people.

	 

	The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the labor force statistics for the period of March 2023. According to TURKSTAT, the number of unemployed persons aged 15 and over increased by 4 thousand in March 2023 compared to the previous month and reached 3 million 508 thousand persons. The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 10.0 percent.

	 

	While the unemployment rate was 8.1 percent for men, it was estimated to be 13.8 percent for women.
