Green Left Party candidate and 15 workers detained

	İSTANBUL - Green Left Party MP candidate Kezban Konukçu and 15 workers were battered and detained in a demonstration in front of Emlak Konut GYO by construction workers who could not receive their wages.

	 

	Workers who are members of Devrimci Yapı and the Construction and Road Workers Union (DEV-YAP) working at the Istanbul Finance Center construction site in the Ataşehir district of Istanbul, protested in front of Emlak Konut GYO for the wages they had not received for 2 months. The Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) MP candidate Kezban Konukçu supported the demonstration.

	 

	The workers, who marched with the slogans "We will win by resisting" and "Construction workers are not slaves", faced the police blockade in front of Emlak Konut GYO. Despite the blockade, 15 workers and Konukçu, who insisted on entering and meeting with the authorities, were beaten and detained.
