Attack on the Green Left stand: 3 party members injured

	EDİRNE - In the attack on the stand of the Green Left Party in Edirne, 2 people, including a parliamentary candidate, broke their arms, and a party member was injured.

	 

	The Greens and the Left Future Party (Green Left Party) continue their work days before the May 14 elections. In many cities, racist attacks are also carried out on party members working in the cities. One of the attacks was the Green Left Party stand set up on Saraçlar Street, one of the busiest streets in Edirne.

	 

	THE ARM OF PARTY MEMBER WAS BROKEN

	 

	Green Left Party members Serdal Zımba and Sara Ay's arm was broken and one party member was injured when they were attacked by an unknown group at the stand.

	 

	5 PEOPLE WERE DETAINED

	 

	It was reported that the police who came to the scene after the attack took five people into custody. After the attack, the party members were taken to Edirne Provincial Security Directorate for medical examination and statement procedures. It was learned that an investigation was started regarding the attack.

	 

	'WE WILL NOT TAKE A STEP BACK'

	 

	The Green Left Party Edirne Provincial Organization shared on its Twitter account: “We were attacked by the fascist group, even though the police were right next to us at our stand in Saraç. 5 people were taken into custody. Among them, our deputy candidate and a 60-year-old female friend had their arms broken in two places. The expression process of our friends continues. We are following, we will never take a step back from our stance against oppression.
