There is no interpreter for the Kurdish statement

	DİYARBAKIR- Amed-based prisoners who wanted to testify in Kurdish were left today due to the absence of an interpreter.

	 

	The Diyarbakır 3rd Criminal Judgeship of Peace issued detention warrants for 216 of them, including journalists, politicians, artists and lawyers, and 128 of them were detained in the investigation initiated with the statement of a person named Ümit Akbıyık within the scope of an investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The statements of those who want to testify are left for today.

	 

	According to information received, Mesopotamia Language and Culture Research Association (MED-DER) Co-chair Rifat Ronî, journalist Salih Keleş and Halise Aksoy, to whom the bodies of her son Agit İpek were delivered by courier, wanted to testify in Kurdish; however, due to the lack of an interpreter, his statements were left until today.

	 

	On the other hand, while the statement proceedings are still ongoing, no one has been released so far.
