Burned 30-year prisoner's execution: His brother visited another prisoner 2023-04-08 11:47:58   MARDİN - The appeal of Yaşar Aslan, who has been detained for 30 years, to the Court of Execution regarding the postponement of his release was also rejected. In its decision rejecting the objection, the judgeship cited Aslan's brother's visit to another prisoner in prison.   Yaşar Aslan (50), a 30-year prisoner held in Tekirdağ No. 2 Type F Prison, was not released even though he completed his execution. The release of Aslan, who was arrested on January 15, 1993 and was due to be released on December 27, 2022, was postponed for the second time for 3 months with the decision of the Prison Monitoring Board. It was stated that Aslan will be re-evaluated in July 2023. While Aslan's appeal to the Execution Judge was also rejected, the Execution Judge referred to the Prison Monitoring Board's decision as a reason for rejection.   'HE WILL NOT COMMIT A CRIME, BUT HE WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE PKK'   While Aslan's visit, brother Mehmet Aslan, visited another prisoner in prison, who was held in the PKK file, was also included in the reasoning for delaying the release, the following was stated in the continuation of the evaluation: It has been concluded that he made round sentences saying that he would not participate the PKK, and since it was understood that the prisoner would not do anything to be punished after his release, but that he would take part in the PKK armed terrorist organization.”   MA / Ahmet Kanbal
