
Indictment against HDP MP Güzel

	ANKARA - An indictment has been filed against HDP imprisoned MP Semra Güzel with a sentence of 3 to 7 years and 6 months.

	&nbsp;

	An indictment was issued against the imprisoned MP of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Semra Güzel, demanding a prison sentence of 3 years to 7 years and 6 months on the charge of "forgery of official documents". In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was reminded that there was an arrest warrant for Güzel within the scope of the files of the Ankara 3rd Criminal Court of Peace.

	The indictment, which reminds that the MP of Güzel was dropped with the decision taken at the 43rd session of the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on December 22, 2022, was sent to the 23rd High Criminal Court of Istanbul.

	&nbsp;

	Accepting the indictment, the 23rd High Criminal Court of Istanbul stated that the Ankara Heavy Penal Court was authorized from the prosecution file and gave a decision of lack of jurisdiction and demanded that the file be sent to the Ankara Heavy Penal Court.

	&nbsp;

	If the indictment is accepted, the trial of Güzel's will begin in the coming days.
