Condemning police who fined citizen who brought aid 2023-02-11 20:15:43   DİYARBAKIR- The public condemned the police, who issued a traffic ticket to a citizen who parked his car on Gevran Street in Yenişehir district to leave the aid they collected. The police, who opened fire in the air, left the area upon the condemnation. Following the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that occurred in the Pazarcık of Maraş on February 6, the obstacles that were put up for various reasons to the people mobilized in many parts of Diyarbakır caused condemnation. The police issued a traffic ticket to the citizen who parked his vehicle in order to leave the aid he collected on Gevran Street in Yenişehir District to the collection area. There was a discussion between the citizens who condemned this situation and the police. POLICE SHOT INTO THE AIR As the condemnation of the surrounding people grew, the police fired two shots into the air; thereupon, the special movement police were dispatched to the area, and the incident subsided after the traffic police were removed from the area. The busiest street of the city was blocked for a short time due to the obstacle placed by the police. It was noteworthy that the police quickly collected the hives on the ground in the area. The people, who condemned the obstruction of solidarity with earthquake victims, demanded sensitivity from everyone.
