Dead who wrapped in blankets buried in a mass 2023-02-10 15:33:37   NEWS CENTER - In Adıyaman, where the earthquake caused great destruction, the bodies that were removed from the rubble have been buried in blankets for 3 days.   Images from Adıyaman, one of the cities most affected by the Maraş earthquake, reveal the extent of the destruction. In the images consisting of 2 videos that reached the Mesopotamia Agency (MA), it is seen that the deceased were buried collectively.   The digger operator, who went to the city voluntarily from Silopiya, shared two videos of the cemetery where the dead were buried. In the first image, it is seen that 10 bodies wrapped in blankets are left side by side in the graves opened with a scoop.   In the second image, many covered tombs can be seen. It is seen that a stone was left on the head of these graves and only numbers on it.   DEAD ARE BURIED WITH THEIR CLOTHES   The digger operator, who delivered the images to our agency, said: “We came here as 7 people the previous day. We are here as the bucket operator. There is no one in charge of the machines here. Neither AFAD nor the gendarmerie are here. We've been burying and burying since the day before yesterday. We are mentally depressed. I can't stand here any longer. They take out the bodies, wrap them in blankets with their clothes and bury them. There is no one left here. They've all died. No one knows who was taken out from the rubble, who was buried."    AFAD MADE A STATEMENT   In its statement: "After a 24-hour waiting period for the bodies whose identity cannot be determined, they are buried after the DNA, fingerprint sample and photograph are taken."
