Peace Mother: We need to end the isolation 2023-02-03 15:20:14   AMED - Participating in the Gemlik march from house to house and street to street, Peace Mother Menice Yeni said: “Ever conscienced person should participate in this march. We need to end the isolation.”   A wave of calls for participation in the Gemlik march, which will start from Kızıltepe district of Mardin and Yüksekova district of Hakkari, on February 6, against the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been heard from in İmralı Type F High Security Prison for more than 22 months, is spreading.   Peace Mother Menice Yeni, who received the body of her son Zindan Yeni (Dijwar Şerzan), who lost her life in a conflict in the Dicle district of Amed in 2021, in a storage container 8 months and 9 days later,  called for participation in the march of the anniversary of the international conspiracy with the slogan of "We are marching to İmralı for solution".   'SOCIETY UNDER ISOLATION'   Pointing out that the isolation has spread to the entire society, regardless of women or young people, Yeni said: “The isolation of Öcalan affects all peoples, including the Kurdish people. I hope the Gemlik March will end successfully. The Kurdish people must now recognize themselves, their values and existence. People should stand up because this isolation is reflected in all societies in the person of the leadership.”   'KURDISH PEOPLE MUST STAND UP'   Emphasizing that the climate of fear created by the government stems from isolation, Yeni said: “It frightens people and prevents them from participating in demonstrations and activities. Those who go out for marches and rallies face police repression and violence. This pressure environment inevitably creates a shyness in people; but we go from house to house, from street to street, reaching out to even the most remote corner. If the Kurdish people do not end the isolation of their leader, Abdullah Öcalan, we will all suffer great losses. The state will continue its hostility and will try to keep us under its control with isolation. We can only end the isolation in Imrali and emerge under this control. The Kurdish people should stand up and end this isolation.”
