	ISTANBUL - An investigation was launched against Osman Akın, the Editor-in-Chief of Yeni Yaşam Newspaper, based on the news published in the newspaper.

	&nbsp;

	The issue of Yeni Yaşam Newspaper, published on June 7, 2022, was ordered to be confiscated on June 8 by the Istanbul 9th Criminal Judgeship of Peace, based on the news and columns. Months after the decision, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against Osman Akın, the newspaper's editor-in-chief, on the grounds that "terrorist propaganda" was being made. Journalist Akın, who went to testify within the scope of the investigation, stated that the news published did not contain any criminal elements and did not accept the accusation.
