Buldan: HDP will enter the elections with its own candidate 2023-01-07 16:16:51   KARS - Speaking at the Qers congress of his party, HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan said: "We will go to the elections with our own candidates and we will announce our presidential candidates in the near future."   The 4th Ordinary Congress of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Kars Provincial Organization was held in a wedding hall in the city. To the hall where the congress took place; Banners "We should organize with hope and courage, defeat fascism" and "We have a promise to our people, we have the solution" were hung. Representatives of many political parties and non-governmental organizations, including HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan, party MPs, PM members, Green Left Party, EMEP, Felicity Party, Republican People's Party, Workers' Party of Turkey, 78's Association, attended the congress.   After a moment of silence and the reading of the reports, HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan evaluated the decision of the Constitutional Court to block the accounts of their parties and current developments.   'WE WILL VOTE WITH OUR OWN CANDIDATES'   Now it's a matter of who will be the presidential candidate that everyone is looking forward to. We, as HDP, will share our presidential candidate with the peoples of Turkey as soon as possible. HDP will nominate its own candidate and will go to the elections with its own candidate. We do not have any partnership with the People's Alliance or the nation alliance; however, we have principled approaches but HDP's current decision is to enter the elections with its own candidate. I would like to state that we are making preparations to announce our own candidate as soon as possible, with the consent of women and youth, together with all the democratic forces of Turkey, together with the alliance of labor and freedom, by taking the suggestions and opinions of all segments in this country. Nobody should connect HDP to party A or B. HDP is a will in Turkey, a great power, and this will is a political party that aims to come out with a large percentage of votes in the elections depending on the power.
