Prisoners' relatives: The Imrali gates should be opened 2022-12-15 16:49:27   İZMİR - Speaking at the sit-in, Fehime Poyraz demanded an end to the isolation in prisons and called for "Imralı gates should be opened and peace should be ensured".   The Justice Watch action, which was launched in İzmir demanding the release of the ill and the prisoners who are held despite serving their sentence, and an end to the isolation practices in prisons, continued on its 151st day. Relatives of the prisoners, who met in front of the Izmir Courthouse, wore aprons of "Freedom to the ill prisoners", "Sound to the dungeons" and "the ill prisoners should be released". Relatives of the prisoners shouted "No war, peace now", "jin, jiyan, azadi", "Bijî berxwedana dungeon(long live the struggle of prisons)" and "Right, law and justice". Women from Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Karşıyaka district organization, Social Freedom Party (TOP) and Purple Solidarity also supported families.   'İMRALİ GATES SHOULD BE OPENED'   Fehime Poyraz, the mother of Deniz Poyraz, who was killed in the attack on the HDP building in İzmir, stated that they have been demanding justice for 151 days. Poyraz said: "Our children are ill in prisons. We want our children to be released. We want an end to the isolation policy in all prisons, especially in Imrali. The doors of Imrali should be opened and peace should be ensured. As mothers, we extend our hand. Peace can only be ensured for İmrali."
