'Kurds must be a voice against unlawfulness in prisons' 2022-11-18 13:13:10   WAN - The family of the ill prisoner Rojhat Aydın, who had pieces of shrapnel in various parts of his body, 2 of his right hand fingers were severed, and is currently in a solitary cell, said that the Kurds should raise their voice against these unlawfulnesses.   Ill prisoner Rojhat Aydın, who was exiled to various prisons in Turkey, has been in detention for 8 years. Aydın, whose right and left fingers were amputated and pieces of shrapnel were found in his foot, arm and eye, is currently being held in a solitary cell in Konya Ereğli High Security Prison. During his detention, Aydın was exiled to places far from Wan, where his family lived, such as Mêrdîn, Tokat and Konya, and his demands for treatment are not met. The Aydın family, whose economic situation is not good, has not seen their children for a long time. The mother of Rojhat Aydın, Xemê Aydın and the father, Mehmet Aydın want their son to be transferred to a nearby prison. Pointing out that her son's life is getting harder day by day, Xeme Aydın said: "My son is currently in a single cell. His life became more difficult after he was transferred to Konya. We cannot go there. The purpose of doing this is to torture both them and us. This is an insult to us."   "KURDS MUST BE VOICE"   Saying that her son's health condition was not good from the last phone call she made with her son, Xeme Aydın said: “The approach of the prison administration was bad. I haven't spoken to him for two years. Since the ill prisoners are not treated in prisons, Kurdish political prisoners leave prisons inside coffins. Those whose punishment has already expired are no longer left behind. This is cruelty to both the prisoners and us. We do not accept this cruelty of the state. We do not want coffins to be found in prisons, we want those whose sentences have been completed to be released and ill prisoners to be treated. The Kurdish people must be sensitive and raise their voice against them. They should not accept these insults and violations and fight against them. Otherwise, it will continue like this.”
