Deniz Poyraz Case will be held Aliağa Şakran Prison Campus 2022-10-12 14:56:20   İZMİR - The court board decided that the hearing would continue in Aliağa Şakran Prison campus from now on and postponed the hearing to Friday in Deniz Poyraz hearing. Murderer Onur Gencer, on the other hand, requested that the HDP closure case be added to his file.   The 5th hearing of the case against Onur Gencer, who carried out an armed attack on the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) İzmir Provincial Organisation building and murdered Deniz Poyraz, started at the İzmir 6th High Criminal Court. While the murderer Onur Gencer was present at the hearing, Deniz Poyraz's family also attended. HDP Spokesperson Ebru Günay, HDP MPs Murat Çepni, Serpil Kemalbay, Oya Ersoy, CHP MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu, many bar association presidents and citizens followed the hearing.   After the 20-minute break given to the hearing, the court board came to the hall. HDP İzmir Provincial Co-Chair Çınar Altan was expelled from the hall after he condemned the murderer Gencer.   The prosecutor took the floor and gave the opinion that the hearing should be postponed, the witnesses should be heard for another day and the detention of Onur Gencer should continue.   Speaking on behalf of his MPs, İzmir Bar Association President Özkan Yücel said: “We want witnesses to be heard so that the trial will not be prolonged. Necessary security measures have been taken. In addition, you said that there was a clash between the lawyers and the gendarmerie regarding the issue that you had recorded. But the gendarme started the incident by hitting the participant. We want this person to be identified and notified by the prosecutor's office."   Murderer Onur Gencer said: “I want the file in the HDP closure case to be added to my own file because that's what happened."   HEARING WAS ADJOURNED TO FRIDAY   Announcing its decision, the court board decided that the trial would be held in the hall of Aliağa Şakran Prison Campus, due to what happened in the hall that caused the session to be suspended; adjourned the hearing to 10:00 on Friday, October 14.
