Nagihan Akarsel commemorated in her childhood home with carnations 2022-10-10 11:34:58   KONYA- Nagihan Akarsel, who was murdered in Slemani, was commemorated with carnations and candles by his family and friends in the house where she was born.   Academician, writer, journalist Nagihan Akarsel, member of Jineology Research Center and editor of Jineology magazine, was murdered as a result of an armed attack on October 4 in the city of Slemani in the Federated Kurdistan Region. Nagihan's body was taken to Hewler by women in Slemani with the slogan "Jin Jiyan Azadî".   A CEREMONY IS EXPECTED TO TAKE PLACE   It was stated that the body of Akarsel, who is expected to be brought to Ankara tomorrow, will first be taken to the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) and then to Gölyazı Neighborhood of the Cihanbeyli district of Konya, where she was born. A mass funeral ceremony is expected to be held here for Akarsel.   COMMEMORATION IN CHILDHOOD HOME   Before the funeral ceremony, Akarsel's family and friends prepared a "Nagihan corner" in the house where Nagihan was born. Nagihan's friends and family commorated Nagihan in the corner where Nagihan's photos and candles were placed.   FAMILY ACCEPTS PEOPLE OFFERING CONDOLENCES   The family began to accept condolences at their home in Gölyazı.
