	VAN - Seriously ill prisoner Makbule Özer, held in Van High Security Prison, was transferred to Istanbul ATK.

	 

	Makbule Özer, an 80-year-old seriously ill prisoner held in Van High Security Prison, was transferred to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute. Makbule Özer (80), who was arrested on May 9 after being sentenced to 2 years and 1 month in prison for "helping an terrorist organisation" in Van's Edremit district, continues to be held in prison despite her serious health problems.

	 

	The attorneys of Özer whose health problems worsened and could not meet her needs alone in prison applied to the authorized prosecutor's office for Özer's release due to health problems. After the application, it was learned that Özer was transferred to Istanbul ATK yesterday. Özer's ATK transactions are expected to be completed within the week.

	 

	Özer was hospitalized on July 2 due to health problems.
