Prisoner suffering from epilepsy battered by guards 2022-08-05 12:30:45   SIRNAK - Being held in solitary confinement despite he is an epilepsy patient, prisoners Fevzi Fidan was battered during the family visit. His family called for awareness and solidarity.   Fevzi Fidan, an epilepsy patient along with other diseases who is being held in a cell alone in Elazig No. 2 High Security Closed Prison stated that his cell were raided and he was battered by the guards in his weekly phone call with his grandmother Rahime Fidan.   'THEY ARE IN A TERRIBLE CONDITION'   Stating that her grandson was battered by the guards, Grandmother Fidan said, “Yesterday, in the phone call I made with my grandson, he said that they were beaten by the guards who raided his cell. My grandson received a life sentence and is currently in solitary confinement. They are in a very terrible situation. He wanted me to tell the public about what happened. He is sick and they beat him and raided his cell."    CALL FOR AWARENESS   Fidan said, “My grandson also has a herniated disc. He is in a very bad condition. The demand is for the public to hear their voices. I can't go to see him because I'm sick. This makes me feel so sad. Our only demand is for these practices in prisons to end as soon as possible and for sick prisoners to be treated."
