Şenyaşar families calls for solidarity on anniversary of the massacre 2022-06-10 14:36:24   URFA - Continuing the Justice Watch, Ferit Şenyaşar and Emine Şenyaşar invited everyone to attend the commemorations to be held on June 14, the anniversary of the massacre and said: "Come and let's bring justice together."   The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 459. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. The family that comes from their house in Suruç, 42 kilometers away from the Urfa Courthouse, started the sit-in for the day. The mother and her son provide information about the struggle for justice and case files to the lawyers and citizens who go to the courthouse during the day. Urfa Labor Platform will organize a commemoration program for Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar and his children Adil and Celal, who lost their lives in the massacre, on Tuesday, June 14, the 4th anniversary of the massacre.   Today evening, a call for participation in the commemoration will be made with the hashtag #AdaletİcinUrfadayiz from Twitter. On June 14, the graves of those who lost their lives in Suruç district will be visited at 10:00. Afterwards, a mass sit-in protest will be staged in front of the Urfa Courthouse at 15.00 on the same day, and a forum on “Şenyaşar family and Justice” will be held in the Tahir Elçi Conference Hall located in the Urfa Bar Association service building. Ferit Şenyşar, who has been staging the sit-in for 459 days with his mother Emine Şenyaşar, called for participation in the activities to be held on the anniversary of the massacre to democratic mass organizations.   'LET'S BRING JUSTICE TOGETHER'    Noting that the massacre at Suruç State Hospital 4 years ago was carried out in front of hundreds of public personnel, Şenyaşar said, "It has been 4 years since our family was massacred, but there is still a confidentiality decision on the file. That's why my struggle for justice continues. We are calling out to all democratic mass organisations from here; Let them be our voices at the commemoration to be held on June 14th. There was a great massacre that took place in that hospital. It is a crime against humanity. Let's bring justice together on this memorial day. Let the sun of justice spread from Urfa to the whole country."   'THOSE WHO REMAIN SILENT ARE ACCOMPLICES'   Tagging the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ and AKP's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the family shared the following message: "The whole government, especially the Ministry of Justice, should break its deep silence regarding our massacre case. The public awaits an explanation regarding our case. Those who remain silent are complicit in this crime."
