Emine Şenyaşar fined for insulting Soylu and Yıldız 2022-06-06 13:45:57   URFA - Emine Şenyaşar was fined 7.040 TL for "insulting" Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and AKP member İbrahim Halil Yıldız.   The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 455. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. While Emine Şenyaşar continues the sit-in at her home in Suruç district due to health problems, Ferit Şenyaşar's visits to democratic mass organisations in Ankara, demanding legal support continues.   The family shared the following message from their Twitter account: “Our demand for 'justice and truth' continues on the second day in Ankara. Everyone we spoke with knew our case inside and out. We will not allow unlawfulness to become common.”   FAMILY FINED FOR INSULTING SOYLU AND YILDIZ!   The verdict of one of the 4 lawsuits filed against Emine Şenyaşar with the allegation of "insulting a public official" because of the words she said during the sit-in has been announced. Two lawsuits were filed against Emine Şenyaşar because she said, "The corrupt people killed my sons" which the court claimed it was said for Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and AKP MP Yıldız and his relatives who killed her sons. The two law suits were joined later by the Urfa 2nd Penal Court of First Instance. The law suit was finalised by the same court which fined Şenyaşar to 1.740 TL for insulting AKP MP Yıldız and 5.300 TL for insulting Süleyman Soylu.   NEW LAW SUIT   It has been learned that a new law suit has been filed against Emine Şenyaşar because of the words she said in front of the courthouse on an “undetermined” date. It was demanded that Şenyaşar, against whom an indictment was prepared by the Urfa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on the grounds that she had "insulted" AKP's Yıldız, be punished and deprived of certain rights according to TCK 126 (insult). The indictment was accepted by the Urfa Criminal Court of First Instance.   16 INVESTIGATIONS, 5 LAW SUITS   16 investigations were opened against Emine Şenyaşar since she first staged her sit-in on March 9, 2021, and 5 of them turned into lawsuits due to the words she said during the sit-in.
