Support for the 'Freedom for Öcalan' campaign from Chomsky

	NEWS CENTER - US linguist Noam Chomsky express his support for the "Freedom for Öcalan" campaign and said, "I am very happy to support the campaign."

	The Committee for Freedom for Öcalan in the Federated Kurdistan Region launched a campaign for the release of Öcalan on February 15, 2022, on the 23rd anniversary of the international conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. "Freedom for Öcalan" campaign was supported by many circles.

	 

	In Slemani, on April 3, 10 non-governmental organizations, including political parties from the Federated Kurdistan Region and Iran, made a joint statement and supported the campaign for Öcalan's freedom. The parties stated that Öcalan should be free.

	 

	American philosopher, historian and linguist Noam Chomsky joined the campaign by sending a message to the Freedom for Öcalan Committee. In his message, Noam Chomsky expressed his pleasure in participating in the campaign for Öcalan and said: “I am very happy to support the campaign.”

	 

	According to the Freedom for Öcalan Committee, hundreds of intellectuals, academics, university lecturers, artists, politicians, parliamentarians, writers and civil activists participated in the campaign. The result of this campaign is expected to be made public soon.
