Emine Şenyaşar summoned to police station for a statement for the 11th time 2021-12-21 15:50:52   URFA - Emine Şenyaşar who stages a sit in outside the Urfa Courthouse has been called to the police station to give her statement for the 11th time.   Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 288th day.     CALLED TO POLICE STATION FOR A STATEMENT   Early this morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenşayar came to the Urfa Courthouse and started the sit in for the day. Shortly after, police officers approached the family and summoned Emine Şenyaşar to the prosecutor's office to give a statement for the 11th time on the grounds that she had “insulted a public officia   Emine Şenyaşar will have to testify based on the words she uttered during her laments on the 241st day when she came in front of the courthouse with a serum on her arm and on the 245th day when more than a hundred Peace Mothers from various cities visited the sit in to give support.     MESSAGE ON SOCIAL MEDIA   “We prefer to freeze to death in front of the Şanlıurfa Courthouse instead of sitting at home and living under persecution. Shame on those who talk about law and justice in Turkey,” the family wrote on their social media account by tagging the accounts of Urfa Governor Abdullah Erin, Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül, Head of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) Erinç Sağkan and AKP Urfa Deputy Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba.
