Police take at least 14 people into custody in Diyarbakır 2021-11-08 11:06:58   DİYARBAKIR - At least 14 people, including politicians and trade unionists, were taken into custody in a new political operation carried out by police in Diyarbakır.   Police took at least 14 people into custody, storming their houses, including politicians, trade unionists and Peace Mothers.   The names of those detained are as follows:   Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Organization executives Hüseyin Baran, Mehmet Asena, Şeyhmus Yavuz, HDP Bağlar District co-chair Nasır Yelter, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Provincial Organization executives Yasemin Akengin, Ali Alkan and Mehmet Süslü, Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Provincial Organization executives co-chair Erkan Keskin, Health and Social Service Workers Union (SES) Branch Manager Gülhan Tekin, Eğitim Sen No. 2 Branch co-chair Arzu Koç, Kurdistan Socialist Party (PSK) Deputy Chairman Bayram Bozyel, TMMOB Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Branch Board member Arin Zümrüt, Baki Öndeş, co-chair of TÜM BEL-SEN Branch, and Vesiye Yiğit, member of the Peace Mothers Council.   It was learned that the detainees were taken to the Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate.
