'Turkey took my daughter and KDP took my brother from me' 2021-08-11 11:11:53   NEWS CENTER -  Fatma Tatlı, sister of Ayhan Tatlı, who was detained by the KDP, and mother of Gulgeş Tatlı, who was arrested with injuries, said, "Those who call themselves Kurds forcefully dissappeared my brother Ayhan, we don't know where he is. Today, Turkey put my daughter in a Turkish prison."   There has been no news for 16 days from the 3 HPG members, who were besieged near the Bêxme village in the Xelîfan district of the Federated Kurdistan Region, by the forces affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which is involved in Turkey's cross-border operations. According to the People's Defense Forces (HPG) statement on July 29 in the Fırat News Agency (ANF), the KDP-affiliated forces blockaded the guerrilla group and carried out an attack. HPG made a second statement on July 31 and called on to the KDP to make a statement about Erdal Aslan (Server Serhat) from Karaçoban district of Erzurum, Ayhan Tatlı (Wargeş Çavreş) from İdil district of Şırnak and Mahmut Xelef from Hesekê city of Rojava.    CALL TO THE KDP    Family of HPG member Mahmut Xelef went to the Federated Kurdistan Region on August 9 to find out about their sons's whereabouts. Father Hesen Sherîf Xelef, who was denied entry to the region at the Semalka Border Gate, made a statement to Hawar News Agency on July 9, calling KDP Chairman Mesut Barzani and party officials, asking them to make an immediate statement about the fate of his son and friends.   HE WAS DENIED TREATMENT   Gulgeş Tatlı from YJA-Star, nephew of Ayhan Tatlı, a HPG member, was also wounded in the clash that took place in the Meydandere region of Marunis village of Hakkari on 26 July. Tatlı, who was taken into custody by the soldiers, was taken to the Provincial Gendarmerie Command on 4 August before his treatment was completed in Hakkari State Hospital. Tatlı, who was not allowed to meet with his family and lawyers, was arrested yesterday and sent to Hakkari Prison.   THEY WERE DENIED THEIR RIGHT TO SEE THEIR DAUGHTER   While Fatma Tatlı, Gulgeş Tatlı's mother and Ayhan Tatlı's older sister, was waiting for a statement from the KDP about her whereabouts, her daughter was arrested with injuries. Mother Tatlı, speaking to Yeni Özgür Politika Newspaper, said that after her daughter Gulgeş Tatlı was detained with an injury, the soldiers gave them information over the phone. Expressing that they went to Hakkari to meet with their daughter, but they were blocked, mother Tatlı said that the family lawyer who applied was able to hold a short meeting.   SHE WAS ARRESTED WHILE WOUNDED    Stating that her daughter was arrested without treatment despite her injuries on her arms, legs and back, Tatlı said, “An injured person needs to be treated, but they sent my daughter to prison because they could not get what they wanted from her. At least now I know where she is. I am proud of her. My head's up. She never bowed to anyone."   ONE WAS TAKEN BY THE KDP, ONE WAS TAKEN BY TURKEY   Stating that she was tortured for 10 days under custody, mother Tatlı also told that she was forced to confess. Tatlı said: "When I was in trouble with my brother who has been missing for several weeks, they called me from Hakkari and said, 'Your daughter has been caught'. Those who call themselves Kurds forcefully dissappeared my brother Ayhan, we don't know where he is. Today, Turkey put my daughter in a Turkish prison. This is what they have done to us."
