Kobané Case: Court Board is following orders 2021-06-15 09:43:46 ANKARA - Drawing attention to the Kobané Case which was built on slander and lies, HDP's Ali Kenanoğlu said: "As our friends disprove these allegations, the court committee is shamefully following the orders given to them." The third hearing of the Kobané Case, filed against 108 people 28 of whom are currently behind bars was held at the Sincan Prison Campus. Speaking about the hearing, HDP MP Ali Kenanoğlu underlined that the Kobané Case is a political revenge operation. Kenanoğlu said: "Our friends are refuting the case, which was prepared with many lies and slander by shedding a light on the facts. THe prosecution keeps watching the floor as Figen Yüksekdağ, Selahattin Demirtaş, Gültan KIşanak and Sebahat Tuncel are speaking. Because the indictment is based on lies. As it is proved, the court board follows the orders in shame."   POLITICAL INTERESTS   Noting that the case was not legal and was filed in line with political interests, Kenanoğlu said: “We are faced with a strained case. It is such a situtation that the prosecutor forgot his personal notes in the file and those notes are considered to be included in the indictment. Non of the requests of our attorneys were accepted. This law suit is absolute trash."   SPESIFICALLY APPOINTED COURT BOARD   Commenting on the rejection of recusal, Kenanoğlu said: "This court board is responsible only from this case. They were spesifically appointed. Since this is not a legal trial, it is not possible for another delegation to come. Since we know that this case is a historical one, we are not in a position to say 'We know what the outcome we'll be. Let's just get it over with". Although we know that it was not prepared for legal reasons, we still make our objections. The delegation wants to finalize the case as soon as possible, which is an undeniable fact.”    THUGOCRACY   Saying that it was "ridiculous" for HDP members to be in courtrooms at a time when state-mafia-politics relations and corruption allegations were being discussed, Kenanoğlu said, "The gang leader tells how they robbed and plundered the country. In court, they are prosecuting HDP for stealing food and pillaging grocceries. This is beyond ridiculous in this thugocracy we live in. We have no choice but to get rid of them altogether."
