Multiple neighborhoods under blockade in Diyarbakır 2021-04-15 16:25:11   DİYARBAKIR - Due to the ongoing military operation in the countryside of Lice district of Diyarbakır, it was reported that drone cameras were flown over the neighborhoods, as well as helicopters, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UCAV) have mobility in the region. HDP sent a delegation to the region.   The military operation launched yesterday morning in the Dibek (Dêrxus) and Arıklı (Huseynik) and Karahasan neighborhoods and some hamlets in Diyarbakır's Lice district continue. It was stated that military units and armored vehicles were positioned at strategic points around the neighborhoods and hamlets. It was recorded that Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles were flying over the region with intense helicopter traffic. In addition to UAVs and UCAVs, it was reported that drone cameras were constantly flying over the neighborhoods and hamlets in the region.   3 PEOPLE DETAINED   While the entrance and exits of the neighborhood are still blocked, Eyüp Özkan from Dibek Neighborhood, who was detained during house raids yesterday, and the shepherd Berat Alageyik (18-year-old) from Eminoğlu hamlet of Karahasan Neighborhood, a total of three people were detained at the Lice Gendarmerie Station.   OPERATION CONTINUES   While the military operation covering the neighborhood and hamlets continues, sources in the region claimed that two HPG members lost their lives in the clash that broke out yesterday.   HDP SENT DELEGATION    On the second day of the military operation, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Remziye Tosun and the party's provincial and district administrators went to Lice. The HDP delegation is expected to meet with the residents of the neighborhoods and hamlets regarding the home raids, the torture of citizens, and the violations of rights in the operation area.
