Call for solidarity from Şenyaşar family 2021-04-03 16:09:48   URFA - Şenyaşar family, demanding justice on the 26th day of the sit in they started, called for solidarity to the public, stating that they will continue to fight until they get justice.   Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and 2 sons in the  attacks of guards and relatives of the Justice and Development Party's (AKP) MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, started a sit in with her son Ferit Şenyaşar in front of the Urfa Courthouse. Mehmet Şenyaşar, who was wounded in the attack, also took part in the watch.   PERPETRATORS WERE NOT PROSECUTED   Ferit Şenyaşar evaluated the 37 years and 9 months prison sentence for Fadıl Şenyaşar and 18 years of prison sentence for Enver Yıldız given by the Malatya 3rd High Criminal Court, to the Mesopotamya Agency (MA). Şenyaşar stated that the perpetrators were not prosecuted for the massacre in the Suruç State Hospital, said: "It was a massacre, a family was destroyed, and they weren't prosecuted. The real massacre took place in Suruç State Hospital. The investigation into this massacre is carried out by the Şanlıurfa Chief Prosecutor's Office. There is still a confidentiality order on this file. Our struggle for justice will continue until this prosecution is done properly."   POLITICAL OPPRESSION    Stating that the court board is under a political pressure, Şenyaşar said, in case of a fair trial, his brother Fadıl Şenyaşar will be released. Şenyaşar continued, "The attack at oır workplace has camera footage, when we watch them, all the actions we take as 5 siblings are within the scope of self-defense. We do not accept this punishment, we will apply for an appeal on Monday with our attorneys and we will continue our struggle."   CALL FOR SOLIDARITY   Calling on the public, Şenyaşar said: "A crime against humanity has been committed here. We need the support of non-governmental organizations, political parties, we were victims in this incident, everyone with a conscience should follow this case. We will continue to demand justice, despite all the obstacles, we are here. We will not give up our demand, whether they drag us on the floor or kill us. We are here, we welcome everyone who wants to visit us for solidarity."
