Women fined for celebrating March 8 in party building 2021-03-27 09:33:28   OSMANİYE - Women celebrating March 8 in the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) party building in Osmaniye were fined for not following the "physical distance" rules.    35 people who attended the celebration organized by HDP Osmaniye Women's Council on March 8 at the Central District Organization building on March 8th, in line with Article 282 of the General Hygiene Law No.1593, were fined 3 thousand 150 TL each on the grounds that they did not comply with the "physical distance" rule.    HDP Osmaniye Provincial Director Leyla Günana stated that the police formed a habit of sending the people fines after every event they have as a party.    Underlining that they had permission for the celebration on March 8 for the event a limited number of women attended, Günana said: "Police are fining people to stop them from attending events of the party. They are trying to frustrate us by imposing fines on us but we won't be frustrated.   Stating that they will not accept these arbitrary and unlawful fines, Günana asked: "Are these rules apply only to the HDP?
