
Third trustee to Silvan Municipality in 10 months

	DİYARBAKIR – &nbsp;The third trustee was appointed to Silvan Municipality in 10 months following the dismissal of elected co-mayors.

	&nbsp;

	Silvan District Governor and municipality trustee Ömer Faruk Çelik was dismissed. Çelik was appointed to replace District Governor Mehmet Uslu, who was appointed as a trustee after the removal of Silvan Municipality Co-Mayor Naşide Toprak on March 24, 2020.

	&nbsp;

	Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Silvan District Organization, who made a written statement from its social media account on Çelik's dismissal, said, “Three trustees were appointed to Silvan Municipality in a short time. The district governor of Silvan and the municipal trustee were dismissed yesterday without sharing anything with the public again. No to the trustee appointed at the will of the people”.

	On the other hand, it was stated that Bayram Turker, the district governor of Mardin's Savur district, will be appointed to replace Çelik.
