Ban on Boğaziçi University protests 2021-01-06 12:16:53   İSTANBUL - İstanbul Governorate banned all kinds of meeting, demonstrations and marches in Beşiktaş and Sarıyer on grounds of the pandemic, to prevent the Boğaziçi University students from protesting the appointed rector.   İstanbul Governorate wanting to prevent the students from protesting the  Boğaziçi University rector Dr. Melih Bulu, a former AKP MP candidate, appointed as a rector to the university by Erdoğan, banned all kinds of meeting, demonstrations and marches in Beşiktaş and Sarıyer.   The written statement signed by İstanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya was published on the web site of the Governor's Office.
