Hunger strike in prison enters day 27

	KOCAELİ - Hunger strikes launched by the prisoners in different prisons demanding the end of the continued isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its 27th day. Dersim former Mayor Edibe Şahin and HDP Gebze former District Co-chair Damla Bağcı, who are held in Kandıra No 1 F-Type Prison, joined the hunger strike. 

	 

	On 27 November political prisoners in prisons went on an indefinite-rotating hunger strike demanding the end of the isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the ever-increasing violations in prisons. The action is being carried out by diffferent groups going on a hunger strike for a number of days. The protest has entered its 27th day and is being carried out by the 6th group of prisoners.

	 

	It was stated that Dersim former Mayor Edibe Şahin and HDP Gebze former District Co-chair Damla Bağcı, who are held in Kandıra No 1 F-Type Prison, joined the hunger strike for the next 5 days.

	 

	Co-chairs sharing the information that the hunger strikes will continue until the demands are met, called on the public to be in solidarity with the hunger strikers.
