Hunger strikes in prisons on day 21 2020-12-17 10:28:30   DİYARBAKIR - The indefinite- rotating hunger strike launched by prisoners against isolation continues on its 21st day.   The hunger strike launched by prisoners in prisons on November 27 demanding an end the isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues. The hunger strike taken over by the fourth group is on its 21st day. The prisoners and their families are calling for support and solidarity.   WE ARE DETERMINED   While the prisoner state that the reason for the hunger strike in prisons is the isolation on Öcalan, the relatives of the prisoners said the demands of the prisoners are their demands too and called for awareness.   Serhat Karsu, a prisoner in Rize Kalkandere Type L Closed Prison made a phone call with his family. Karsu said: "I will join the hunger strike too. The reason we go on a hunger strike is the isolation of Mr. Abdullah Öcalan. We want the isolation to be lifted. We are determined to continue our action until our demands are met."   'THEIR DEMANDS ARE OUR DEMANDS'   Karsu's brother Necat Karsu who stated that his brother also participated in the hunger strikes in 2018, told that their only wish is for the government to meet the demands of the prisoners. Karsu said: "We want the persecution on the prisoners to be over. Their demands are our demands."
