Body of HPG member detained by authorities, family wants the body of their son 2020-12-15 12:27:59   HAKKARİ - Stating that his brother's body who lost his life at the air attack in Hakkari countryside is not delivered to them for 16 months, Kenan Kaya said: "We want his body back, even it is just a hand. This is inhumane."   The body of Serhat Kaya, one of the 2 HPG members who died in the air attack in Talê Region in rural Hakkari on 18 August 2019, has not been delivered to his family for 16 months. The family of Kaya, who could not get a result from the application they made to the prosecutor's office, wants the bodies that they think are in pieces.   Brother Kenan Kaya stated that despite their application, no blood sample has been taken from them for DNA testing. Noting that the prosecutor's office wrote to the gendarmerie and it was claimed that the body could not be reached because the area was "banned", Kaya pointed out that there were two base areas in the area where the bombardment took place and that it was close to the village of Talê. Kaya said the villagers in the area found some limbs and buried them at the scene.   EVEN IF IT'S JUST A HAND   Kaya, addressing the people who have been sitting in front of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır Provincial Organization building for their relatives who are allegedly "abducted", said: "I can not claim the body of my brother who is kept in a freezer 30 kilometers away. Don't be fooled. See what they are doing to you." Stating that they think the body of his brother is probably in pieces due to the air attack, Kaya said: "We want to take my brother's body and give him a decent funeral. Let us go get him. Even it's just a hand."
