Journalist Paksoy's appeal rejected 2020-12-09 17:04:33 DİYARBAKIR - The appeal against journalist Özgür Paksoy to 3 years, 1 month and 15 days' imprisonment given by the local court for allegedly making “terrorist propaganda” in his social media posts was rejected by the Court of Appeal.     Özgür Paksoy, editor of Mesopotamia Agency (MA), was sentenced to 3 years, 1 month and 15 days in prison by Şırnak 2nd High Criminal Court in the case filed with the allegation that he made "terrorist propaganda" in his social media posts. Paksoy appealed the decision of the local court to the Antep Regional Court of Justice through his lawyer Resul Tamur.   APPEAL REJECTED   In its decision, the Court of Appeal asserted that the procedural proceedings in the judicial process were carried out in accordance with the law and that all the evidence based on the verdict was obtained in accordance with the law, the Court of Appeal rejected the appeal.   In the decision it was noted that the file can be appealed.
