HDP's Van Muradiye Co-Mayor released from prison

	VAN - Muradiye Municipality Co-Mayor Yılmaz Şalan, who was replaced by a trustee, was released on the condition of "house arrest".

	 

	The 5th hearing of the lawsuit filed against Muradiye Municipality Co-mayor Yılmaz Şalan, who was arrested on December 9, 2019 with the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" and "propagandizing a terrorist organization", and Mayor Leyla Balkan, who was released on the condition of judicial control, was held in Van. Co-Mayor Şalan attended the hearing held in Van 7th High Criminal Court with the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS) from the Osmaniye T Type Closed Prison. Co-Mayor Balkan and the lawyers were  present at the hearing.

	 

	Speaking at the hearing, the Co-Mayors repeated their previous defense. The court decided to release Şalan with the condition of 'house arrest'. The next hearing will be held on March 10, 2021.
