Prisoners forced to shower with cold water in Patnos Prison

	AĞRI - Yakup Turgut, a prisoner held in Patnos Type L Closed Prison sent a message via his family and told that they have to use cold water to shower and they don't have access to clean drinking water.

	 

	Yakup Turgut, who has been detained in Patnos L Type Closed Prison, told his family about the rights violations in a weekly phone call. Turgut, who informed his family that they don't have running hot water, said they have many problems but having no access to clean drinking water is really an issue. Turgut said: "The existing problems are getting worse everyday. We don't have access to hot water. We don't have access to clean drinking water. And these are becoming a real issue since there is an outbreak. Also having no access to hot water or clean drinking water causes other diseases due to the cold weather.

	 

	Turgut also said that the electricity bills are too expensive and that they recieve very high bills even though they do not use any electrical tools. Turgut said: "The prison administration doesn't give us the bills and they write the bills arbitrarily."
