Men killed 29 women in a month 2020-11-03 14:26:15 İSTANBUL - KCDP announced that 21 women were murdered in October and 8 women died under suspicious circumstances.  KCDP also told that men inflicted violence on at least 80 women, killed four children, abused 25 children, including boys, harassed seven women and forced 49 women to sex work.   The deaths of at least 14 women (in Mardin (1), Antep (1), Antalya (1), Karaman (1), Diyarbakır (2), Malatya (1), Zonguldak (1), İzmir (2), Düzce (1), Kayseri (1), İstanbul (1), Adıyaman (1) ) were reported in the news as suspicious in October.   One of the women whose death was "suspicious" was transgender.   Men attempted to kill a woman in Manisa. In Konya, a woman exercised the right to self-defense.   In the report, which pointed out that the failure to determine the reason under which 12 women were killed is a result of making violence against women and murders invisible, it was said: "Unless it is determined by whom the women were killed and why, unless the suspects and murderers punished accordingly with their crime, unless there are fair trials, unless the suspects, accused and murderers receive deterrent punishments and preventive measures are taken, the violence will continue to grow."
