Blankets confiscated in prison with the instructions 'from above' 2020-10-13 11:01:21   ANKARA - Journalist Dilan Oynai being held in Sincan Women's Closed Prison told that the blankets were confiscated by the prison administration who told the instructions came 'from above'.   Journalist Dilan Oynaş told about the violations of rights in Sincan Women's Closed Prison on the phone to her family. Father Abdülvahap Oynaş told that the blankets were confiscated on October 9 due to the Covid-19 outbreak and the wards of the prisoners were stormed.   'THE GOVERNMENT IS RESPONSIBLE'   Father Oynaş spoke to us about what his daughter told him: "There is a pressure on the prison administration, so they disturb the prisoners due to the Covid-19 outbreak as a result. They confiscated the blankets and the food of the prisoners and told they got the instruction 'from above'. Winter is coming and the prison is cold. They obviously want to get our children sick."   Stating that the government is responsible if their children get sick, father Oynaş demanded the blankets to be given back to the prisoners.   We called the Sincan Women's Closed Prison to obtain information. They told us they couldn't provide any information. The prison administration that did not deny the claims, said it is forbidden to provide information for the press.
