HDP Women's Assembly: We are more determined than ever 2020-10-12 15:29:21 ANKARA - Defining the new term politics, HDP Women's Assembly told that they are more determined than ever, and that they will be in solidarity in the face of fascism.   Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Women's Council announced the final declaration of the meeting held in Istanbul to determine the political line of the new era.   In the declaration commemorating 103 people who lost their lives as a result of the attack organized by ISIS on 10 October 2015 in front of Ankara Station, it was stated, “We will raise our lasting and honorable peace struggle everywhere in order to fulfill our longing for peace in the person of our comrades who were killed, by repeating our promise to fulfill their dreams of democracy and justice”.   In the declaration that emphasizes that the attacks against the HDP continue to deepen, it was said that the aim of the attacks is to the women's gains.   The declaration continued: "They aim to delete HDP's struggle for solution and peace from minds. This is their revenge for their failure at June 7, March 31 and June 23 elections. By making young women the primary target of special war policies, they are preventing the young women from being a subject of the women's struggle. "   In the declaration stating that the women will not submit to the policies of aggression and domination, the following statements were made: "We are more determined than ever to make them regret trying to make us submit to oppression. We will dethrone them. We consider the implementation of the Istanbul Convention, stopping the abuse law, defending our women-oriented local governments, equal representation and co-chairmanship system, and adding new ones to our hundred-year achievements as the raison d'etre of our struggle. We will not allow fascism to destroy our lives. We will rebuild life in this country. A more democratic and fair country."
