The loss is the same, the answers are different 2020-09-17 12:37:15   MARDİN - Turkey have given 6 different answers to UN regarding Hizni Bilmen who was summoned to the police station and was never heard from again. His family who states that they know his killers, demanded Turkey to tell the truth to UN.   Mehmet Emin Atuğ, Hizni Bilmen, Abdulkadir and Şakir Demir who were summoned to the Provincial Gendermerie Station in the Midyat district of Mardin on May 14, 1995 were never heard from again. While there was no result in the legal struggle of the families, the files were left for time out.   Human Rights Association (İHD) and The Association for Solidarity with Families Who Lost Their Relatives (YAKAYDER) applied to the United Nations (UN) Forced or Involuntary Disappearances Working Group between 2014 and 2018 on behalf of the relatives of the disappeared. Turkey gave 6 different answers to the 30 applications in different dates regarding Hizni Bilmen.   Turkey's first response to Forced or Involuntary Disappearances Working Group was that Bilmen was released after a meeting in Midyat Gendermerie Command, which claimed that Bilmen might have joined the PKK. Later in July 21, 2013 Turkey said there is a mass grave where Bilmen could have been buried and in April 2017, Turkey said an investigation about Bilmen was started in 2009 and in a reply in August 8, 2018 Turkey said they have no idea where he might be.    Bilmen's wife Şükriye Bilmen and his brother Mehmet Selim Bilmen spoke to Mesopotamia Agency regarding the 25 years of struggle for trying to find Bilmen.   HE WENT TO THE GENDERMERIE COMMAND AND NEVER CAME BACK   Şükriye Bilmen said: "Our children were lost. We informed the gendermerie command. The soldier said their father must go to the gendermerie command with the ID's of the children. He went to the gendermerie command and we never saw him again. We heard gun shots from the gendermerie command after my husband went there. My husband went there on his own and never came back. We were kicked out of everywhere we went to find him. My husband was murdered. I know that. We just want his bones back. At that time, Midyat Police Station Commander was Captain Hilmi Kahraman. There were two other commanders, Ziya and Killer Metin. My husband's killers are these three people."   Stating that their village was bombed from tanks on the evening of the day her husband went missing and said: "They killed our animals. They stormed our house scatter our food on the floor. They did everything they can to make us leave our village but we never left the village nor give up on our values. We will continue to look for my husband. We want his bones back."   'EVERYONE WHO SPEAK ABOUT IT WERE DISSAPPEARED'   Stating that everyone who spoke about his brother's dissappearance have gone missing, Bilmen's elder brother Mehmet Selim Bilmen said: "Those who asked about the people that were forced into dissappearance were killed. No one dared to spoke. Hundreds of people dissappered and killed in this region. All from our family. Captain Hilmi Kahraman, a commander named Ziya and a sergeant major named Killer Metin did all of these to us. We know our killers. But the state does prosecute them."    MA / Mahmut Ruvanas - Ahmet Kanbal
