Armed attack on Kurdish workers claims one life, wounds two others 2020-09-14 10:10:10   NEWS CENTER - In an armed attack targeting Kurdish workers from Turkey’s eastern province of Van, worker Özkan T. has lost his life and workers Fırat T. and Emrah Ö. have been wounded in Turkey’s Aegean province of Afyon.   An armed attack has targeted Kurdish workers in Turkey's Aegean province of Afyon. While construction worker Özkan T. has lost his life in the incident, Fırat T. and Emrah Ö. have been wounded.   The workers reportedly left the district of Erciş in Turkey's eastern province of Van to work. As reported by Mezopotamya Agency (MA), the incident happened at around 7.30 p.m yesterday (September 13).   An unidentified person opened fire on brothers doing construction business. His shots claimed the life of 25-year-old worker Özkan T. and wounded workers Fırat T. and Emrah Ö.    While the cause of the attack that took place in Dinar district is still not known, the wounded have been hospitalized.   TAKE THE BODY AND LEAVE   The relatives of the deceased and wounded workers left Erciş and other provinces to go to Afyon province. However, some of them have been intercepted by the police while leaving Erciş and others while entering Afyon.   On the other side, it has been reported that the police officer following up the incident in Afyon told the wounded workers, "Take your dead body and leave."
