Güven: They used to go to Anıtkabir, now they come to Diyarbakır 2020-08-25 13:53:30 MERSİN – DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven said, "They used to go to Anıtkabir when they formed a party, and now they are coming to Diyarbakır" regarding the messages given by the new parties regarding the Kurdish problem. Güven said that it is not enough to deal with the Kurdish issue only in congresses anymore, concrete practical steps should be taken. Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven who continues her visits and contacts with different social segments within the scope of the third phase of the HDP's Democratic Struggle Program, visited the Peace Mothers and the Free Women's Movement in Mersin ( TJA).   HDP Mersin Deputy Fatma Kurtulan was also present at the meeting held at a hotel in the city, and it was seen that the campaign slogan "Peace against war, freedom against isolation" was hung on the wall.   DTK Co-Chair Güven spoke about the approaches of AKP's former founders Ahmet Davutoğlu and Ali Babacan who set up new parties following their departures from the AKP regarding the Kurdish issue.   Güven said: “There are newly formed parties. Their policies obviously are Kurdish genocide and femicide. We will not be fooled by this. They have the same mentality as the AKP. They used to go to Anıtkabir when they form a party before, now they are coming to Diyarbakır. It is not enough to address the Kurdish issue only in their congresses. Concrete practical steps must be taken.    We have been on the road as a delegation for days. We meet with the public. Our aim is to detect our problem within ourselves. There is AKP-MHP fascism. The Kurdish problem did not start with these. It is a problem that started with the foundation of the Republic. Governments have come and go. Most just addressed the issue but never have done anyting about it. They just attacked with their security policies. They continued the slaughter that started in Dersim stream with the basement of Cizre. This is an indication that their mentality has not changed.   Finally Güven criticized that the DTK is being criminalized and said: "They have sealed the DTK. You can not stop us by simply preventing us from getting inside a building. We are continuing our work."
