18 politicians arrested in Antep 2020-07-18 10:31:38   ANTEP - 18 of the 29 co-chairs and executives from HDP, DBP and SYKP were arrested in Antep.   As part of an investigation carried out by the Antep Public Prosecutor's Office, 29 people were detained in house raids on July 14, including the Democratic Party of Peoples (HDP), the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and the Socialist Re-Foundation Party (SYKP). 18 people, including HDP Provincial Co-Chairs Musa Aydın and Songül Koçdağ and Peace Mother Remziye Erdem, were arrested and sent to prison yesterday and today. 11 people were released on condition of house arrest and judicial control measures.   29 people who were deposed at the prosecutor's office were accused of participating in canvasing for the March 31 elections and attending meetings with HDP Diyarbakır MP Musa Farisoğulları; going to the party building and sharing and liking HDP news on social media.   HDP provincial Co-Chair Songül Koçdağ, DBP former provincial Co-Chair Ali Şimşek, SYKP Provincial Co-chair Ahmet Aşkar, HDP Şahinbey District Co-chair Bahri Yarış, Peace Mother Remziye Erdem, Recai Yılmaz, medical student Cüneyt Kaya, HDP Şahinbey District Manager Remziye Kuş and Isa Aslan were arrested and taken to prison.   6 people referred to court were released with judicial control measures and house arrest.   The previous day, HDP Provincial Co-chair Musa Aydın, Adnan Erol, Hurşit Besle, Abdullah Acar, Enver Özman, Sevinç Selçuk, Ömer Sungur, İbrahim Dağ and Hasan Saran were arrested. With the arrests today, 18 of the 29 people taken into custody have been arrested and sent to prison.
