11 of the women in custody referred to judgeship 2020-07-17 16:43:04 DİYARBAKIR - 11 of the women who were detained in Diyarbakır and taken to the courthouse following their interrogation at the police station, have been referred to judgeship with request of judicial control. As part of the investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 23 women were detained on July 14. The number of detainees increased to 26 when 3 more women were taken into custody later in the day. While 5 women who was processed at the police station was released, 21 women were referred to court today.   The 21 women faced the prosecutor today. The interrogation of 11 women is now complete. Gülseren Akkum, Jinnews editor Ayşe Güney, Yenişehir Municipality council members Ruken Şehir, Tekoşin Tekin and Ronda Bat, Bağlar Municipality council member Halime Bayram, BES Diyarbakır branch former manager Dilan Yakut and Güneş Özel, TJA activists Selma Metin, Şükran Tamir, Emine Kaya was then referred to the Magistrate Criminal Judge with the request of 'judicial control'.   Prosecutors' interrogation still continue for the other 10.
