9 people arrested in Antep 2020-07-17 09:23:29   ANTEP – 9 of the 29 people taken into custody in Antep, including HDP Provincial Co-Chair Musa Aydın was remanded in custody.    The proccessing of the 29 names including Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP),  Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and Socialist Re-Foundation Party (SYKP) former and current members and executives who were taken into custody in scope of an investigation launched by Antep Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was completed yesterday.   HDP Provincial Co-Chair Aydın and Şehitkamil Disctrict Co-Chair İbrahim Dağ, Islahiye Disctrict Co-Chair Yusuf İyem, provincial executives Hasan Saran and Abdullah Acar, former Provincial Co-Chair Atiye Okay, former provincial executive Yeliz Yılmaz and DBP former Provincial Co-chair Habibe Tişkaya, former provincial executive Sevinç Selçuk, Hurşit Besle, Abdulmutalip Kılıç and Ömer Sungur, Enver Özmen and attorney Adnan Erol was referred to court following the completion of their interrogations.   CAMPAIGN SWING WAS ASKED   The 14 people who were referred to court was accused of 'being a member of an illegal organization'. In scope of the accusation, their campaing swings  during March 31 elections, the meetings they attended were asked. The 14 people were also interrogated about their phone calls.    9 PEOPLE ARRESTED   Following the completion of the statements, HDP Provincial Co-chair Musa Aydın, Adnan Erol, Hurşit Besle, Abdullah Acar, Enver Özman, Sevinç Selçuk, Ömer Sungur, İbrahim Dağ and Hasan Saran were arrested.   The other 5 were released on condition of house arrest and judicial control order.   THE REST ARE STILL IN CUSTODY   HDP Antep Provincial Co-chair Songül Koçdağ, Şahinbey District Co-President Bahri Yarış, Ali Şimşek, Birgül Yıldırım, Recai Yılmaz, SYKP Antep Provincial Co-chair Mehmet Aşkar, Remziye Erdem, Songül Akman, Remziye Kuş, Ayfer Doğan, Necip Ateş, Cüneyt Kaya, Salih Birişik, Mustafa Can and Bedirhan Akdoğan are expected to be referred to court today.
