Protest in front of Russian base in Kobani 2020-06-27 08:15:44   NEWS CENTER - The families and relatives of the fallen in the Euphrates region organized a protest in front of the Russian military base in the village of Ezzaah, west of Kobani, to denounce the massacres of Turkey in the region against civilians.   Russian base in the village of Ezza'ah, west of Kobani, in protest against the massacres of the Turkish state in 2015 and the massacre of the village of Helenj against civilians.   People gathered in front of the Russian military base, carrying a sign saying "Your silence means your partnership with the Turkish occupying state in the massacre committed in Helenj," and pictures of the women who died in the Helenj massacre, and pictures of the people of the June 25 massacre in Kobani.   The participants chanted slogans of condemnation of the crimes of the Turkish occupation.   A delegation handed over a file to the base officials that includes details of the crimes and massacres of the Turkish occupation against civilians in Kobani, including the massacre of June 25, 2015 and Helenj on June 23.   The delegation demanded that the Russians to clarify their position on these massacres.   The delegation noted that the commander of the Russian military police confirmed that the goal of their presence in the region is for the sake of peace and protection of civilians. He  stressed that they would deliver the message of the people to the concerned authorities.   They also promised to open an investigation to uncover the perpetrators of the massacre, and that they will work to prevent further massacres.   The sit-in ended with chanting slogans that glorify the martyrs and condemned the Turkish occupation.
